People are just people. Try to know a little bit about the culture and some pleasantries in the local language. Don't be gross or rude. Just be yourself and don't overdo it. Be pleasant to be around and not a smelly drunk. In Asia, there is a phenomenon called "face." Google it, because it is a real thing you will encounter. Short story, it has to do with respect, and saving yourself and others from embarassment by laughing, covering your mouth, or lying in order to avoid awkwardness. This can lead to someone saying "yes" or "maybe" to something they don't actually want or have no inention of doing. You MUST learn about face so that you can navigate it.
